The LVMH Group has announced the appointment of Jean-André Rougeot as chief executive officer of Sephora Americas, effective Feb. 4, 2019.
Rougeot joined LVMH in 2006. He has most recently served as CEO of Benefit Cosmetics; under his leadership, the company saw double-digit sales growth. His successor at Benefit will be announced at a later date.
In a statement posted to the LVMH LinkedIn page, Sephora Worldwide president and CEO Chris de Lapuente stated: “Jean-André is a truly inspirational brand builder and organization leader, whose unique personality and vast in-depth experience of the North America prestige beauty market will lead us to grow Sephora U.S. and Canada outright prestige beauty market leadership to even greater heights.”
