Shiseido has announced the establishment of a China Business Innovation & Investment Representative Office in Shanghai.
Effective Jan. 1, 2019, the office will act under direct control of global headquarters. It will promote strategic alliances with startups and other companies, further accelerating the development and implementation of innovations in existing businesses as well as new business development in cosmetics and other fields. A Center of Excellence will also be established.
The move is part of the company’s Vision 2020 strategy, which includes securing sustainable growth in global markets including the drastically expanding Chinese.
Carol Zhou will serve as head of the China Business Innovation & Investment Representative Office (COE). Zhou most recently held the position of vice president, marketing at Marriott & Alibaba Joint Venture.
