Urban Skin Rx Appoints Two New Members to its Board of Directors.

Urban Skin Rx, a skin care company that address the needs of consumers with melanin-rich skin tones, announced Deisha Barnett and Melissa Butler to its board of directors on September 17, 2020.

Barnett is the chief brand and communications officer as well as head of diversity and inclusion at the Metro Atlanta Chamber. Barnett has also had experience in marketing and communications for Walmart and Protecter & Gamble with a focus in multicultural consumer-focused initiatives. 

Butler is the founder and CEO of The Lip Bar and has experience as an entrepreneur that focuses on diversity and vegan products in the beauty industry. 

Butler and Barnett will join numerous members on the board of directors such as:

  • Rachel Roff, founder and CEO of Urban Skin Rx
  • Steven Skoler, co-founder and managing director of Friend Skoler & Co.
  • Cheryl Moss, director of Friend Skoler & Co.
