ICONS Beauty Group has named Joaquim Camps as president of ICONS America, charged with leading growth of the company's beauty and wellness packaging products, including including tubes, caps, bottles and jars.

In October 2023, ICONS Beauty Group acquired CTL Packaging USA, Inc., which now operates as ICONS America LLC.

The move gave the Singapore-based manufacturer a U.S.-based production hub.

The facility, which specializes in the production of injection molded tubes using in-molded label technology, is based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Camp was previously COO at packaging firm Viscofan USA Inc. and, prior to that, spent more than 15 years at CTL Packaging in the United States and Spain.

In particular, the incoming president "has deep expertise in plastic tube manufacturing and decoration technologies including flexography, screen printing, offset and digital printing, and hot stamping,' per Icons America.

Camp, born in Spain and now a U.S. citizen, holds a Master’s Degree in Operations & Supply Chain from ESADE Business School and a Mechanical Engineering Degree from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

Susanne Nichols, group CEO of ICONS Beauty Group, said, “ICONS is a leader in beauty packaging and Joaquim’s proven industry experience will be key in our plans for vertically integrated manufacturing in the USA. The ICONS America factory in Charlotte, North Carolina is well positioned to supply a broader offering of high quality, made-in-USA packaging.”

Tara Stein, vice president sales and business development, added, “I look forward to working with Joaquim. He has a customer-centric approach and passion for the beauty industry. He was an instrumental contributor to the inception and establishment of the North Carolina ICONS America facility over a decade ago. Joining us as President, he can hit the ground running and enhance our capabilities and broaden our packaging portfolio.”

Camps commented, “It is an exciting time to join ICONS America and I am honored to have the opportunity to lead the company in its next phase of growth by increasing our packaging offerings for the beauty and wellness industry. ICONS America’s manufacturing capabilities and its ability to closely work with other portfolio companies within the ICONS Beauty Group is a compelling combination. I love what I do, I love this sector, and I’ve been in the industry for a long time. Returning to the ICONS America facility feels like coming home and I’m looking forward to working with Susanne and her team.”
