in-cosmetics Global has released its Trends Barometer: Focus on Sustainability report that addresses the challenges and opportunities facing the industry in its ongoing journey to reduce its carbon footprint.
The report looks at the state of the cosmetics and personal care industry through an eco lens, combining insights and advice from leading experts including representatives from Weleda, Apivita, Beauty Kitchen, Ecovia Intelligence and other CPG brand names.
The report also explores how suppliers, manufacturers and brands across the whole supply chain can work toward a circular economy.
At in-cosmetics Global—held March 28-30, 2023—the new Sustainability Zone will provide attendees with information and opportunities to improve their carbon footprint.
The zone will consist of the existing sustainability display and theater and new sustainability pavilion.
Roziani Zulkifli, exhibitions director at in-cosmetics Global, said:
Over the last decade, we’ve seen trends in the cosmetic and personal care industry take a clear shift as consumers are increasingly paying attention to the impact their products have on the environment.
Sustainability, and the concept of ‘conscious consumerism’, has gone from a nice-to-have to a must-have. Therefore, it seems imperative that this year’s in-cosmetics Global show has sustainability at the forefront of discussions, with our premiere Trends Barometer report and our new Sustainability Zone leading this.
The in-cosmetics Global Trends Barometer puts the spotlight on the future of sustainability in the cosmetics and personal care industry, bringing together insights from experts leading this exciting new chapter. Their insights and advice provide an overview of the challenges facing the industry, and why taking the next step to embrace a circular and sustainable future is paramount.
