ASTech, a specialist in UV filter ingredients, and DSM-Firmenich have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a strategic business cooperation. The agreement, finalized on Jan. 9, 2026, at a ceremony in Seoul, marks a significant step toward accelerating innovation and expansion in the global sun protection market.

The partnership combines ASTech’s advanced manufacturing capabilities with DSM-Firmenich’s global network and R&D strengths. According to the companies, the collaboration aims to establish a stable supply chain for high-performance UV filter ingredients, develop new sun protection components, and expand global market share through joint marketing efforts.
The investment closing, conducted alongside the MOU signing, reinforces the capital commitment and strategic alignment between the two companies.
