A whopping 75% of U.K. health and beauty retailers are unprepared for a second wave of COVID-19 infections, according to Brightpearl data cited by Internet Retailing. In fact, more than half of surveyed businesses have made no plans whatsoever. The question is: have enough people learned lessons from this spring's infection surge?

Report: Beauty's COVID-19 Playbook

Forty-two percent of all surveyed retailers are making additional digital investments to address future e-commerce spikes, though 56% will focus more on online sales in the coming year.

That said, 44% are reportedly unable to withstand any future widespread lockdowns.
