Lubrizol Life Science–Beauty (LLS Beauty) announced its research on the qualities of its Oxylance (INCI: Glycerin (and) Water (Aqua) (and) Ligustrum Lucidum Seed Extract) advanced botanical ingredient won the Lester Conrad award for best paper presented at the Australian Society of Cosmetic Chemists (ASCC) conference.

The report, “Improving Skin Oxygenation by Tibetan Adaptation,” explained how the Oxylance advanced botanical ingredient, a botanical extract of Ligustrum lucidum, which is sustainably sourced from the high-altitude mountains of China, mimics the Tibetan genetic adaptation to low-oxygen conditions. This results in increased oxygen supply to the skin and overall improved skin appearance.
The Lester Conrad Award for best paper is presented at the ASCC’s annual conference. This award is judged by a committee for its presentation, use of visual aids, originality, scientific contribution, importance and relevance to the industry.
