Croda International Plc has announced the opening of laboratories in France and Singapore.
Located at the company’s Sederma subsidiary in La Perray en Yvelines, the French Centre of Innovation for Texture Science will focus on the creation of new, unique textures. Sederma, known for creating active ingredients and technologies for the cosmetics industry, provides the center with proximity to formulation texture trends coming out of France and access to ingredients.
The Centre of Innovation for Sensory Science is located at Croda’s Singapore offices, and will strengthen the company’s access to sensory trends emerging from the Asian skin care segment (including K-beauty and J-beauty).
“We are extremely excited by these new state-of-the-art facilities, and we are sure they will provide great opportunities for enhanced customer engagement and potential collaboration projects,” said Richard Butler, global head of beauty formulation. “In addition, these labs will uniquely aid the creation of innovative products as well as addressing the constantly evolving formulation needs of the business around the world. By optimizing both texture and sensory, we will meet the growing demand in Personal Care for new, inventive technologies.”
