Nécessaire has launched a body acne care duo, The Body Acne Wash and The Body Acne Solution.
Acne is a perennial concern, though the focus tends to be on facial acne. That said, body acne is also a chronic worry; in fact, as far back as 2020, Spate identified search activity picking up around "butt" acne.
The new daily foaming wash ($28/250 ml/8.4 fl oz), step one in the two-product routine, comprises 2% salicylic acid, 10% glycerin, rosemary extract, rosemary water, rosemary oil, zinc PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) and niacinamide.
The brand recommends user follow the wash with application of The Body Acne Solution ($38/120 ml/4.0 fl oz), a spray-on serum that features 2% salicylic acid.
It also features rosemary extract, rosemary water, rosemary oil, zinc PCA (pyrrolidone carboxylic acid) and niacinamide.
While the body wash is virtually unscented, the daily-use spray-on serum features a rosemary odor.
The SKUs are housed in cartons comprising 30% PCR kraft board that is FSC-certified, while the inserts comprise 70% PCR kraft board material.
The bottles, meanwhile are composed of 100% PCR aluminum.
The pump and spray systems are composed of "mixed material," per the brand.
