Lorne Lucree, a veteran of Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal and Estée Lauder, is applying the principles that transformed skin care—microbiome science, sensory appeal, daily rituals and consumer-friendly formats—to one of the least glamorous categories in wellness: the nose.

His company, Wizard Wellnesswhich was founded in 2023 and is backed by True Beauty Ventures, G9 Ventures, The Venture Collective and Able Partnershas now expanded into approximately 1,700 Walmart stores and 1,400 CVS locations nationwide, with roughly 1,500 dedicated Walmart endcaps. The scale is striking for a brand that launched direct to consumer only in early 2026.

Speaking with Global Cosmetic Industry, Lucree emphasized the necessity of a retail presence, noting that approximately 84% of allergy products are purchased in-store due to the urgent, need-based nature of the condition.

Lucree's multi-channel strategy embraces CVS for its pharmacy-led credibility and trust-building, along with logistical advantages like potential DoorDash same-day delivery partnerships. Meanwhile, Walmart is evolving into a comprehensive wellness destination that appeals to consumers who are seeking wellness solutions, not just bargains.

As for a potential beauty specialty channel expansion, Lucree had nothing to share at the moment, though he didn't rule it out.

From a product innovation perspective, Lucree’s premise is simple: consumers have come to expect more from products they use on their skin, so why should nasal care be any different?

The brand's range comprises a nasal spray, inhaler and oral strips, with Walmart also stocking a pre-mixed postbiotic Sinus Rinse.

“Beauty taught us that people will not use something twice if it doesn’t feel good,” Lucree has said. “The nose has never been held to that standard.”“Beauty taught us that people will not use something twice if it doesn’t feel good,” Lucree has said. “The nose has never been held to that standard.”Wizard Wellness

The conceptualization of Wizard Wellness began with an experience in Spain, where Lucree observed nasal care products utilizing ingredients more commonly found in skin care, such as hyaluronic acid, amino acids and botanicals. This discovery shifted his focus toward leveraging microbiome science—specifically using prebiotics and probiotics—as a core technology to strengthen the skin barrier and balance bacteria, rather than relying on traditional actives found in conventional allergy care products.

“Beauty taught us that people will not use something twice if it doesn’t feel good,” Lucree has said. “The nose has never been held to that standard.”

The current allergy category is predominantly reactive, Lucree explains, with consumers waiting for symptoms before seeking treatment. Wizard Wellness aims to reshape this model by positioning products around a proactive, daily system, similar to how consumers manage acne in skin care, thereby providing relief without the side effects caused by traditional allergy products.

That philosophy is reflected in everything from the product formats to the brand’s emphasis on sensory experience. Wizard’s Daily Probiotic Nasal Spray comes in Arctic Vanilla and Botanical Breeze, while its Happy Nose Inhaler Stick uses Glacial Mint and its oral strips come in Strawberry.

Wizard’s proprietary Nasalbiome Technology combines pre- and probiotics, the aforementioned skin care-grade hydrators, antioxidants and biotech-derived ingredients to support the nasal barrier and microbiome. The company holds four patents and says it has completed five consumer studies, a consumer clinical study supervised by board-certified otolaryngologists and an IRB-reviewed clinical study focused on the nasal microbiome.

In that sense, Lucree is effectively transplanting the microbiome revolution from skin care into the nose. The approach treats the nasal environment less like a problem to be temporarily medicated and more like a biological ecosystem that can be supported through an ongoing routine.

While every demographic experiences allergies, Wizard Wellness' sweet spot is women aged 18 to 34. That reframing also addresses a familiar beauty-industry challenge: making efficacy something consumers actually want to use. Wizard has cited data showing that roughly 40% of U.S. households contend with seasonal allergies, while only 7% of respondents in the brand’s 2025 survey of 596 consumers said they were very satisfied with the products available to them.

The early response has encouraged the strategy. Wizard Wellness' DTC subscription base has increased 17-fold since launch, with July representing its largest customer-acquisition and revenue month to date. Customer acquisition nearly tripled compared with the previous month.

The brand's larger proposition is that nasal care can become less about the medicine cabinet and more about the bathroom counter. With Wizard Wellness landing in more than 3,100 mass-retail locations just months after launch, Lucree is betting consumers are ready to see it that way, too.
