Esōes Cosmetics has debuted a patent-pending liquid lipstick with drug testing strips that detect benzodiazepines, often referred to as "date rape" drugs, and a Bluetooth connected button that connects to a safety app customized to the user.

With every purchase made, customers help a survivor of date rape or domestic violence heal and gain financial independence.

According to the brand, "Together, we are creating a lipstick revolution that will build a safer world for my daughters, sisters, and friends, and for yours too."

ABC7 Chicago reports that the app looks like a regular cosmetic website, but "with the press of a button" the safe mode can be activated with customized instructions to loved one or police.

The product will ship in early 2023.
