Coverpla will mark two anniversaries in 2026: 80 years since the company was founded in France and 10 years since the establishment of its U.S. subsidiary, Coverpla, Inc.
The company was founded in 1946 in Nice, France. Its early activity focused on manufacturing glass bottles for wine and spirits. Over time, Coverpla shifted its focus to primary packaging for the fragrance and skin care sectors, working with European glassmakers and supplying stock packaging components to beauty brands. The company operates in-house Surlyn cap manufacturing and offers a catalog-based packaging model.
Coverpla’s current offering includes stock bottles, closures, pumps, jars and home fragrance packaging. Services include customization through decoration techniques such as lacquering, screen printing, pad printing, hot stamping, metallization and embossing. The company maintains inventory in Nice, France, and New Jersey, USA, and offers low minimum order quantities for certain products.
The company also offers packaging solutions that incorporate post-consumer recycled materials, recyclable components and refill-compatible designs. Coverpla reports that its corporate responsibility efforts include environmental considerations, supplier standards and workplace safety initiatives.
In 2016, Coverpla established Coverpla, Inc. in New Jersey to support customers in the U.S. market. The subsidiary provides local inventory, warehousing and customer support. Since its launch, the U.S. operation has expanded its product assortment and warehouse capacity.
“As we enter our 80th year, we’re reflecting on the history of the company and planning for its next phase,” said Bruno Diepois, chairman of Coverpla.
“Reaching ten years in the U.S. marks an important point for our team and our customers,” said Gilda Mirra Cutri, VP of operations and business development, Coverpla, Inc.
According to the company, ongoing priorities include updates to its packaging catalog, continued investment in decoration capabilities and further development of sustainability-related offerings.
