LVMH's Q1 2025 perfumes and cosmetics sales dropped 1% year-over-year to 2,178 million euros. That said, Sephora continued to grow amid a similar overall 1% drop in selective retailing sales.
Christian Dior benefited from Eau de Parfum J’adore, the launch of Dior Homme and the La Collection Privée perfumery line. Its makeup results were supported by innovations from the Forever and Dior Addict range, while skin care results were also solid.
Guerlain highlights included the Aqua Allegoria and L’Art & La Matière fragrance lines and the relaunched Rouge G lipstick.
Parfums Givenchy was boosted by L’Interdit, while makeup was supported by Prisme Libre.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian's launch of Kurky is also said to have had a positive effect.
Of the results, the company said:
In a disrupted geopolitical and economic environment, LVMH remains both vigilant and confident at the start of the year. The group remains focused on the development of its brands, driven by a sustained policy of innovation and investment as well as by a constant quest for quality in its products, their desirability and their selective distribution.
LVMH will rely on the talent and motivation of its teams, the diversity of its businesses and the good geographic balance of its revenue to further strengthen its global leadership position in luxury goods in 2025.
