💡 Beauty Accelerate is returning LIVE to the East Coast March 12-13, 2025, at the Ocean Place Resort & Spa in Long Branch, New Jersey, featuring expert talks from newsmaker brands and innovation thought leaders, networking opportunities, and a boutique exhibition of concept products and services from leading ingredient, packaging and contract/turnkey manufacturing partners. 👉🏽 Registration is now open.

Parëva Beauty is a new skin longevity brand powered by Molecur 3, a cocktail of three plant-stem cells, goji, sunflower and pincushion flower, all of which "reverse the look of aging," per the brand. These stem cells support the formulations' exosomes and NAD+, which are superstars in the beauty longevity movement. But at the core of the brand is an elevated level of transparency.

The Founder

The brand was developed in 2024 by scientist Smitha Rao a scientist with experience on the brand side, with SugarbearPRO and StriVectin, among others, and ingredient specialists such as Vantage and Lonza.

The Formulations

Parëva Beauty is designed to deliver clinical results to consumers of any age, and to offer full transparency on formulations, which include:

  • Prevent: C35.5 Firming Glow Serum (MSRP $74 (0.5 oz.)/$112 (0.85 oz.), comprising 35.5% bioactives to provide comprehensive correction on multiple levels. These include vitamin C, turmeric, ceramides and "skin luminizers." The brand's transparency detail page breaks down the percentage composition of functional ingredients to boost absorption and sensory elements, as well as the composition of base ingredients like thickeners, emulsifiers, pH stabilizers, preservatives and fragrance.
  • The Restore: COLL20 Gel Cream Moisturizer (MSRP $69 (1 oz.)/$109 (1.69 oz.) comprises 20% bioactives to improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles, including Molecur 3, polypeptide 69 vegan collagen, senolytic willowherb, squalane, hydrating peptides, saccharide isomerate, watermelon fruit and apple fruit extracts, lentil fruit extract, and niacinamide.
  • Prevent: RH5.5 Hydrabond Primer (MSRP $49 (1 oz.) features 5.5% bioactives (Molecur 3, rice bran extract, rosemary leaf extract and hyaluronic acid), light-reflecting pigments, mattifying lecithin and silica, and soft-focus natural powders to "create the perfect canvas for makeup application," per the brand.

All formulations are created in line with Credo Beauty's The Dirty List.

A Transparent Approach to Empower Consumers

All SKUs are broken down on The (F)actuals, the brand's disclosure program, which shares both formulation details and product testing results to arm consumers with more in-depth information. According to the brand, the goal is to avoid exaggerated or misleading claims.

"In my nearly two decades of working in the beauty and wellness industries, I have had the privilege of launching more than 200 products," says Rao. "The products I previously created had such an emotional impact on the people who used it, transforming their self-perception, improving their confidence and ultimately the power to change their life. As much as I witnessed the transformative powers of beauty, I felt that the industry marketing itself was going backwards in some ways. Whether it was dumbing down the science, age shaming, choosing unrealistic models or hiding behind 'magic' and 'miracles' while claiming exaggerated benefits."

She concludes, "My dream was to create a modern beauty brand rooted in transparency and integrity, reclaiming science as something that everyone can understand and trust."

🧪Putting Longevity Insights Into Action

Morley Willoughby, Ph.D., a senior scientist within advanced research at L’Oréal USA research and innovation, is set to present "Beauty's Long Game: The R&D Case for Longevity" as part of Beauty Accelerate 2025.

While "anti-aging" claims aren't going away any time soon, longevity presents a new, holistic, technically advanced front in beauty innovation.

As Mintel reported earlier this year, "Brands can tap into this longevity-driven market by combining holistic wellness concepts with technological advancements. Advances in longevity research have led to innovations in biohacking and cellular rejuvenation, targeting the root causes of aging."

These advances can further concepts like “slow aging” and "embracing healthy and natural beauty without denigrating the ageing process," the firm noted.

Mintel concluded, "[T]he next level of anti-aging will involve addressing specific longevity factors like inflammation, oxidative stress and DNA damage. This is a cue for brands to explore biomimetic ingredients and personalized solutions based on individual skin needs."

Willoughby is ideally situated to take on the topic of this revolution.

Prior to joining L’Oréal, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Yale University Medical School in the Department of Genetics, specializing in the fields of longevity and cellular senescence.

Specifically, he leveraged cutting edge single-cell and spatial-multi OMICS sequencing technologies to investigate cellular senescence as a contributing member of the NIH Senescence Network Initiative.

Previously, Willoughby received his Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Cell Biology, with multiple published peer-reviewed articles in epithelial biology and wound healing.
