Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany Announces Price Increase

Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany has announced that its surface solutions business unit will raise the prices of its effect pigments, cosmetic active ingredients and other functional materials.

The increase, between 5-15% depending on the specific product, will apply worldwide. The company attributes the adjustment to an increase in cost for raw materials, labor and logistics, as well as increased regulatory requirements.
