Coty is overhauling its leadership structure as it pushes forward with its Coty.Curated strategy, consolidating key functions to accelerate decision-making and bring commercial leadership closer to the market.
Executive chairman and interim CEO Markus Strobel will assume direct oversight of prestige commercial operations, with regional leaders now reporting to him in a move designed to sharpen accountability and improve responsiveness to market performance. Meanwhile, prestige R&D, sustainability and supply chain will be combined into a single organization led on an interim basis by chief supply chain officer Graeme Carter, aligning innovation and operations under one function.
The restructuring also includes several executive departures. Caroline Andreotti, chief commercial officer, prestige, will leave the company at the end of September after nearly 20 years with Coty, while Shimei Fan, Ph.D., chief scientific and sustainability officer, will depart at the end of August following her leadership of the company's R&D and sustainability initiatives. Chief people and purpose officer Priya Srinivasan will also step down in August for personal reasons and will be succeeded by Séverine Charbon, formerly chief talent officer international at Publicis Groupe, effective Sept. 1.
According to Strobel, the organizational changes are intended to simplify Coty's operating model, accelerate execution and strengthen focus on the company's core brands as it continues to implement its strategic transformation.
Of Srinivasan's departure, Strobel noted, “Priya has been a thoughtful and trusted leader, and a real champion of our people and culture. She has strengthened how we develop talent, deepened employee engagement, and helped make Coty a place where people can do their best work. We are grateful for everything she has given to Coty and wish her the very best in the future. We now look forward to Séverine joining Coty at this important time and continuing to build on the strong foundations in place.”
