The 2013 edition of Luxe Pack New York, which took place May 15 and 16 at New York’s Metropolitan Pavilion and Altman Building, attracted a record-breaking 2,894 unique visitors—an 11% increase compared to 2012. Marking the 11th time for the New York event, this edition showcased 165 exhibitors, also a record number, while 11 top level seminars presented by industry thought leaders, including a GCI-moderated panel on new innovations from exhibitors, drew standing room-only crowds, and several special exhibits provided more design and innovation inspiration, from Material ConneXion, Mintel and more.
“We are delighted with the exceptionally strong visitor turnout this year, and the positive response we received from visitors and exhibitors alike,” commented Nathalie Grosdidier, executive director of Luxe Pack. “The show floor was really booming with so many amazing exhibitors, and The Gallery on the second level added another dimension this year. High-level visitors attending the event included executives from leading beauty brands such as Amway, Aveda, Avon, Bath and Body Works, Coty, Elizabeth Arden, Estée Lauder, Fusion Brands, Gurwitch Products, Inter Parfums, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oréal, LVMH, Mary Kay, Maybelline, Revlon, Unilever, Victoria’s Secret and more, as well attendees from the pharmaceutical, wine and spirits, retail, design and other industries.
Marlene Katz, founder of Intelligent Skin Sense, said of the event, “In a New York minute, I walked into the show and found exactly the packaging I was looking for. I am in the midst of reformulating and repackaging an eye product and needed something very innovative. I hit it right at Luxe Pack.”
