Consumers Want Sustainable Ingredients & Sourcing

NIQ recently reported that 45% of surveyed consumers believe responsible sourcing is among the most important sustainability claims, while 24% want brands to increase their use of ingredients produced in a more sustainable way.

Overall, NIQ found that 69% of consumers believe sustainability has become more important to them over the last two years. That said, just 25% say companies and brands are making it easy for them to make sustainable choices.

Fortunately, a spate of recent beauty innovation offers a wide array of ingredient efficacy, sustainability and ethical claims.
