Metal-Free Metallic Effects & Carmine Alternatives
A core theme in Susonity's effect pigments is achieving brilliant metallic visuals without using actual metals or titanium dioxide:
- Ronaflux Specular Silver: Delivers a mercury-like "liquid metal" mirror effect with high reflection. Free of metals, it resolves common stability issues in water-based formulas and operates reliably across pH 4–8. It is vegan, halal-certified, and suitable for everything from eye shadows to rinse-off products and masks.
- Xirona Le Coeur: A bright, body-colored metallic red pearl pigment composed of silica and Iiron oxides (CI 77499). Designed as an alternative to organic red dyes and carmine, it eliminates traditional regulatory and application limits, enabling formulators to create vegan pink, rose, or violet shades when blended with white pigments.
Optical Blurring and Texture Conditioning
- RonaFlair Infinity: A translucent functional filler based on synthetic sapphire or alumina. Engineered with soft-focus and light-diffusing properties, it scatters light away from fine lines and wrinkles while controlling shine for a natural matte finish. In application prototypes like the Plum Perfect Lipstick and Burgundy Multipurpose Stick, a 10% usage level provides structural support, aids smooth color payoff, and contributes to long-lasting effects.

Susonity showcased these technologies in multifunctional prototype concepts at the NYSCC Suppliers' Day:
- Burgundy Multipurpose Stick: Combines Ronaflux Foxy Red, Xirona Le Coeur, Xirona Volcanic Fire and RonaFlair Infinity alongside skin actives (RonaCare Bisabolol nat. and RonaCare Poppy SE) for a transfer-resistant stick that functions as an eyeshadow, eyeliner, blush, highlighter or lipstick.
- Holographic Face Mask: Uses a combination of Ronaflux Specular Green (aqueous-stable) and Ronastar Aqua Sparks over a RonaCare Ectoin hydration base to create a turquoise, multicolor sparkle rinse-off mask.
