Social Media in the Spotlight at Cosmoprof North America Conference Session

With the continuing surge of consumer spending and online engagement, social media has become essential to any marketing strategy. With this new way of connecting brands and exhibitors with consumers, many factors arise: How much effort and creativity should be put into social media outreach? What social media tools and tips are available to impact business? And what outlets provide the best outcomes?

At a conference session during the 2014 Cosmoprof North America event, experts will outline everything brand owners and marketers need to know, from the big picture and the role of social marketing to ways of identifying influencers to connecting with an audience via games and rewards and ultimately to using content to find qualified followers on YouTube.

The conference, entitled “The Beauty of Social Media: It Delivers,” will be moderated by Brooke Carlson, a professor in FIT's School of Graduate Studies Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management master's degree program, and its features real experts in their field from outside the industry who bring a fresh perspective and top pedigree. Additional conference panelists include: Kendra Bracken-Ferguson, COO of Digital Brand Architects; Erick Brownstein, founder of TheNewAgency.com; Johnny Miller, founder of Bamboo Engine; and Melinda Wittstock, founder and CEO of Verifeed.

“The Beauty of Social Media: It Delivers” session will be held at Cosmoprof North America on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Cosmoprof North America will take place July 13–15, 2014 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
