The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) has announced the first-place winner of its FPA 2019 Student Flexible Design Challenge.
Top honors were awarded to Maria Brownell and Melea Burns of University of Wisconsin, Stout, for their combined facial mask/facial moisturizer. The triangularly shaped package contains the mask on one side, the moisturizer on the other, and allows consumers to use the products 3-6 times before discarding (reducing waste).
The FPA’s Achievement Awards recognize innovative flexible packaging from across its membership. For the 2019 edition, the organization received 42 concept outlines; from these, 18 were selected to continue to the development phase.
