TC Transcontinental Packaging has expanded its range of sustainable flexible packaging for the home and personal care market with vieVERTe recycle-ready packaging, featuring up to 38% post-consumer recycled content (PCR), and vieVERTe PCR, featuring up to 50% PCR content.
The vieVERTe range is ideal for hygienic wipes, sachets, laundry and dishwashing products such as pouches for pods, fitmented pouches, and personal care product overwrap.

The recycle ready and PCR flexible packaging films have been developed to perform in high-speed applications for optimal processing efficiency and reliable sealing in production lines, according to TC Transcontinental.
The films also preserve the scents and chemical integrity of household and personal care products, while also defending against odor and chemical contamination.
The vieVERTe products are suitable for fitmented pouches to accommodate the growing demand for products moving from rigid containers to flexible package, that latter of which allows brands to reduce the use of plastic material, energy and water while lowering transportation requirements.
“TC Transcontinental’s R&D teams design films and pouches to reduce the use of plastic material compared to rigid packaging and to maximize the use of sustainability-sourced material with post-consumer recycled plastic waste," said Rebecca Casey, senior vice president, marketing, sales and strategy, TC Transcontinental. "Its mission is to create safe and effective products for families, society, and the planet."
Casey added, "According to Mintel, consumers care about sustainable products and 49% of household product introductions globally included an on-pack claim about environmentally friendly packaging. Our goal is to create packaging for our customers to respond to their environmental mission and consumers.”
