All SickScience product formulas feature a complex peptide ingredient NX35, also known as Sh-decapeptide-1 sr pineapple stem bromelain, a synthetic peptide complexed with pineapple stem enzymes. As previously reported, this biohacking technology reportedly “sends precisely coded instructions to cells, triggering a specific and effective response,” per the brand.
These coded instructions are said to “rewrite corrupt biological code and send messages to correct cellular activity.”
When applied to the body, this ingredient can help improve skin firmness, texture, elasticity, and appearance.
Other featured ingredients:
- Matrixyl 3000: A peptide produced by Sederma claimed to stimulate collagen production and improve firmness of the skin.
- Hyaluronic acid: Hydrates the skin and reduces the appearance of fine lines.
- Caffeine: A naturally derived stimulant that may help reduce the appearance of cellulite.
Per the brand, from an 8-week clinical study with 50 participants:
- 92% saw a smaller waist
- 88% experienced reduced cellulite and dimpling
- 87% reported improvements in skin texture
- 98% said skin looks and feels more nourished
- 81% saw less visible stretch marks
Other key benefits of SickScience Body Sculpting:
- Targets lipid droplet reserves in fat cells
- Improves skin elasticity and reduces sagging
- Prevents stretch marks
- Reduces appearance of cellulite
- Nourishes the skin
Earlier this year the brand debuted the first product, ShapeShift, which also featured NX35 and drew an extensive waitlist due to the significantly positive results reported by consumers.
SickScience is a biotech research company that develops regenerative therapies for cancer treatments, hair growth, skin health and overall wellness. The brand was founded by Turkish genetic and bioengineering doctors, Polen Koçak-Denizci, Ph.D., and Merve Yildirim-Canpolat, Ph.D.
NX35 Technology 'Poised to Revolutionize the Future of Skin and Hair Care': Founder Q&A
We asked Yildirim-Canpolat to share more with us on SickScience and what they have planned for the brand in the near future.
How do you predict the NX35 technology might influence the future of skin and hair care?
Y-C: NX35 Technology is poised to revolutionize the future of skin and hair care by harnessing cutting-edge biotechnology, particularly through exosome-based therapies and regenerative medicine. Exosomes, which play a critical role in cell-to-cell communication, can be utilized to precisely target skin issues such as aging, pigmentation, and inflammation. This approach has the potential to deliver highly personalized and effective treatments, tailored to meet each individual's unique skin care needs.
By focusing on regenerative medicine, NX35 aims to go beyond conventional cosmetic solutions, offering products that actively promote tissue repair and regeneration. This groundbreaking approach could transform anti-aging treatments by not only diminishing the appearance of wrinkles but also restoring the skin's youthful function at the cellular level, providing long-lasting and profound results.”
Are there any other uses for this technology outside of the face, body, and scalp?
Y-C: Initially, we developed this technology for use in critical areas such as cancer treatment, obesity management, and wound healing. Over the years, we’ve conducted extensive research to unlock the full therapeutic potential of exosome-based and regenerative therapies. These efforts have focused on understanding how this technology can facilitate cellular repair, promote tissue regeneration, modulate immune responses, and even support the treatment of chronic conditions. Our work in these areas is ongoing, and we continue to push the boundaries of what this technology can achieve in both therapeutic and medical applications.
NX35 Technology is far from being a 'one-trick pony.' It’s a highly versatile and scalable platform that offers a broad range of applications across multiple fields. From improving recovery in complex medical conditions to addressing cellular dysfunction in chronic diseases, the technology holds promise for transformative impact. While our current focus is on advancing skin care and hair care products, we are actively exploring its future potential in areas that extend well beyond the cosmetic industry. This technology has the capacity to redefine the way we approach not only skin and hair care but also critical healthcare challenges.”
Any other new NX35 products in the development pipeline that you are willing to share with us?
Y-C: NX35 Technology is not just limited to skin care and hair care; it's a versatile platform that can be applied to various areas, including supplements and other health-focused products. We're actively exploring how we can expand our product line to address overall wellness and preventative care. This means our technology could potentially be used in supplements or other formats that go beyond cosmetics, offering people more holistic solutions to maintain health and vitality.”
It appears that as of currently, SickScience products are only exclusively available on their website, do you have any plans to expand to other online or in-store retailers within the next year?
While this is definitely something we're thinking about for SickScience down the line, right now we're focused on continuing to build up and grow our current DTC site to make it an even more educational, enjoyable experience for our customers.
