Premium body care brand MAËLYS has joined forces with Whipnotic, makers of swirl-activated flavored whipped cream, for a gourmand-inspired collaboration. The limited-edition GET-WHIPPED whipped cream blends vanilla, passionfruit, and hibiscus, echoing the tropical scent of MAËLYS’ bestselling Get-Taut Body Firming & Hydrating Mousse-to-Oil.

Gourmand Inspiration: Scent and Texture

'Consumers are craving scents that feel indulgent, playful and nostalgic,' says Jessie Reder, SVP of product development, MAËLYS."Consumers are craving scents that feel indulgent, playful and nostalgic," says Jessie Reder, SVP of product development, MAËLYS. MAËLYS"Gourmand is booming right now—fragrances and flavors with edible, dessert-like notes like vanilla, caramel, chocolate, coffee, and coconut are skyrocketing in popularity," says Jessie Reder, SVP of product development, MAËLYS. "Consumers are craving scents that feel indulgent, playful and nostalgic."

She adds, "At MAËLYS, fragrance and sensorial experience have always been at the heart of our formula development alongside clinical efficacy. The mousse-to-oil texture of Get-Taut already feels decadent, so pairing it with an addictive vanilla-coconut fragrance and a playful MAËLYS twist of passionfruit was a natural fit."

Reder concludes, "But we didn’t want the experience to stop at application. By collaborating with Whipnotic to create an edible whipped cream inspired by Get-Taut, we gave consumers the chance to fully immerse themselves in the fun, gourmand fantasy of the product."

Whipped Cream for the Skin: MAËLYS' Get-Taut Mousse Taps Into Self-Care

MAËLYS’ Get-Taut Body Firming Mousse, launched earlier this summer and now available at Ulta Beauty, gained rapid popularity for its whipped texture and visible firming results, selling out in its first week.

"Our new mousse to oil is all about bringing consumers something they've been craving: a unique texture that makes your body care routine sensorial and enjoyable—while delivering results," says Rom Ginzburg, CEO of MAËLYS. "It's undeniable that the texture reminds you of whipped cream..."

Reder adds, "Aerosol technology is key. Get-Taut’s mousse-to-oil transformation is only possible because of its pressurized can packaging. Inside the can, the formula remains liquid until it’s dispensed. When you shake the can and press the actuator, the liquid mixes with compressed air as it passes through a specialized valve. This instantly aerates the formula into a rich, whipped mousse."

She continues, "The mousse texture makes application easy and even, and as soon as it’s rubbed into the skin, it melts into a lightweight oil. Unlike traditional oils that can feel heavy or greasy, this format spreads thinly, absorbs quickly, and leaves behind a healthy glow without any stickiness."

Reder notes that sensorial attributes are central to the body care experience.

"Sensoriality is everything," she explains. "Body care routines can sometimes feel like a chore, but the right scent transforms them into a moment of pleasure. An addictive fragrance encourages consistency and creates an emotional bond with the product. It makes people excited to apply and reapply, turning skincare into self-care. Our scents, along with textures and results, are a key part of sensorial storytelling—making each product memorable and an integral part of a daily ritual."

Body Care Takes the Spotlight: Why Skin Routines Aren't Stopping at the Neck

Despite prestige skin care declines in the first half of 2025, per Circana, prestige body skin care continues to thrive. Why is that?

"There are a few key factors driving this growth," says Reder. "First, body care is finally getting the recognition it deserves. The 'skinification' of body is really taking off, as consumers recognize that their body deserves the same kind of routine and targeted solutions as their face. This shift has opened the door for innovation far beyond traditional lotions and washes."

She adds, "At MAËLYS, we identified body care as a true white space over six years ago, long before the category boom. From the start, we’ve been focused on innovating solutions for concerns like loose skin, stretch marks, and firming—needs that are deeply personal and often tied to weight changes and major life moments. With the rise of GLP-1s and other factors accelerating body changes, the demand for effective solutions in these areas has only grown stronger. Today, we’re seeing more brands validate this category, which underscores its strength and potential."
