Brazil's O Boticário has launched Egeo Cogu and Egeo Cogu Mellow in the United States, featuring Boletus edulis (or penny bun) mushroom naturally extracted by Symrise as a key ingredient. By combining mushroom accords with gourmand and fruity notes, the fragrances deliver a unique olfactory experience to the increasingly crowded gourmand scent category.

Egeo Cogu features an oriental fruity profile with notes of blackberry, raspberry pulp, redcurrant, caramel and crème brûlée. Egeo Cogu Mellow offers a fruity gourmand scent with Madagascar vanilla and pear smoothie notes. Both fragrances can be layered together, following a global trend in personalized perfumery.

The scents were developed in collaboration with Symrise. According to O Boticário, the inclusion of the mushroom accords aligns with emerging trends appealing to Gen Z consumers.

In fact, 75% of a consumer panel of Gen Z individuals reportedly preferred the brand. 

Egeo Cogu and Egeo Cogu Mellow are available for purchase online, exclusively on O Boticário's website, while supplies last.
