Under the CHI and BioSilk brand names, Farouk Systems Inc. has launched its BioSilk Health + Beauty Antibacterial Hair Care line.

After initially launching the Antibacterial Hand Soap and Lotion in August, as part of BioSilks’s Health + Care division, the brand has now expanded offerings to include its Antibacterial Shampoo, Rescue Moisturizing Conditioner and Hair and Body Mist, as well as a trio kit that encompasses all three items.

Both the Antibacterial Shampoo and Hair and Body Mist feature 0.10% benzalkonium chloride, an antimicrobial that reportedly rids hair of 99.9% of germs, while the Rescue Moisturizing Conditioner is packed with essential nutrients reportedly to soothe and seal in moisture for silky, smooth hair. This trio, infused with lavender and natural Aloe vera, is designed to reduce germs and bacteria while softening and replenishing hair.

The shampoo and conditioner formulas are designed to be gentle enough for daily use. According to the company, this shampoo removes germs from the hair and scalp that cause dandruff and scalp issues, while the conditioner is used to nourish, replenish and protect hair.

The hair and body mist also is formulated to be gentle enough for daily use. Similar to the shampoo and conditioner, it clears germs from the hair, scalp and body, but also provides nourishing, replenishing and soothing effects to the whole body.
