France, Europe’s third largest market for online beauty, will soon have the beauty world at its fingertips thanks to the recent acquisition of The Beautyst by mega online beauty retailer, Feelunique. The Beautyst will be renamed, “The Beautyst by Feelunique.”
As the leading beauty blog in France, The Beautyst has more than 1,300 bloggers and over 600,000 social media followers.
While Feelunique has had an online presence – complete with 450 brands and over 20,000 make-up, skin care perfume, accessory and electrical products -- in France since November of 2015 and physical store in 2016, the company feels that “the combination of the two sites will create a platform through which to communicate with the combined consumer base."
Joel Palix, CEO of Feelunique, said: “Feelunique’s unrivaled portfolio of beauty products and The Beautyst’s large and dedicated online beauty community is a powerful combination. The acquisition of The Beautyst further accelerates our vision of becoming the leading player in online beauty in France, which is a strategically important market to us given its currently low online penetration. This acquisition will also strengthen our position amongst Millennials, a key audience for us.”
