Meanwhile, Alexis Perakis-Valat will be appointed CEO of L’Oréal USA and president, North America, succeeding David Greenberg. The appointments will become effective January 1, 2026, with handovers starting sequentially from October 1, 2025. The appointments have set off a cascade of promotions, as follows:

  • Fabrice Megarbane will become president of the consumer products division, succeeding Perakis-Valat.
  • Vianney Derville will be appointed chief growth officer, succeeding Megarbane.
  • Emmanuel Goulin will take on the role of president of Europe, succeeding Derville.
  • Eva Yu will become president of travel retail, succeeding Goulin, and will join the group’s extended executive committee.

Greenberg, with more than 32 years at L'Oréal, has held key leadership roles, contributing to the Group's market leadership in the United States, per the company, making the market its top growth driver for three consecutive years and achieving €10 billion in sales in 2022. 

He played a pivotal role in growing the professional products division and expanding American brands like NYX, Essie, Matrix and ColorWow globally. Greenberg also led major projects, including a €140M research center in New Jersey, NYC headquarters renovation, and new offices in California.

Perakis-Valat, president of L’Oréal’s consumer products division since 2016, has played a key role in the company’s global success, driving sales growth from €12 billion to €16 billion while boosting profitability and brand investment. With a career spanning key leadership roles in markets like China, France and Germany, he has spearheaded digital transformations, strengthened brand equity, and expanded into new growth areas such as Mixa in Europe and 3CE in Asia. Under his leadership, the division reached more than 1 billion consumers globally and achieved significant growth, particularly in emerging markets with high double-digit acceleration.
