Black Opal has named Eden Zeilo as its new VP of global integrated marketing. She will over see the BLK/OPL and Fashion Fair brands.

In her prior role, Zeilo was the director of brand marketing and strategy at Unilever North America. She domestically managed hair care and beauty brands in the market under the Sundial Brands umbrella. She executed brand strategy and global brand marketing campaigns including media, social, digital, creative, PR, and retail for SheaMoisture and the newly launched Madam by Madam C.J. Walker.

Zeilo said, "Growing up, I always wanted to work in fashion or beauty; I was such a girl’s girl. I still remember begging my mom for eyeshadow every night in eighth grade and picking out a rich blue eyeshadow to match my blue sweater to wear on picture day. My immigrant parents weren’t the most supportive of my career choice since I had a strong math and science background. It wasn’t until business school that I realized I could combine my passion for beauty and business acumen. Once I landed in beauty, I knew that I could be my authentic self, which is why I’m so excited to join Black Opal, LLC and work on the legacy brands, Fashion Fair and BLK/OPL. It is such an honor to continue serving my community and living out my purpose.”
