Selective distribution is performing well: LVMH's Perfumes & Cosmetics sales totaled 2,115 million euros in Q1 2023, an 11% gain (1% attributable to currency effects) from the same period of 2022.

The business group benefited from strong performance from the Christian Dior brand, particularly its Sauvage, Miss Dior and J’Adore fragrances.

The sector also experienced growth in makeup and skin care, including Fenty and Benefit.

Guerlain's success was derived from the Aqua Allegoria line and a new liquid foundation addition to the Terracotta collection.

Other highlights included Parfums Givenchy's Gentleman Society, Benefit's expansion of The Porefessional skin care range and the bump Fenty Beauty enjoyed following Rihanna's appearance in the Super Bowl.
