L’Oréal USA has appointed Dave Kersey, formerly of Omnicom Media Group's SD&M, as senior vice president of media in the United States.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Dave, whose expertise and passion will undoubtedly support L’Oréal’s continued digital transformation,” says Han Wen, chief digital and marketing officer for L’Oréal USA. “His insights on the evolving media landscape will be instrumental in positioning L’Oréal as an industry leader, delivering the most innovative and engaging experiences for our consumers.”
L’Oréal recently noted, "We are now entering a second phase of the digital revolution, one that offers new ways of building a special relationship with our consumers and developing new products and services. However, this new phase also creates new challenges and new demands, like the need to go even further in providing data protection and promoting the ethical use of algorithms. Equally, we need to earn the trust of our consumers and our partners, while also taking into consideration and respecting a growing desire among some people to be disconnected."
Reporting directly to Wen, Kersey has more than 20 years of media and advertising experience in hospitality and entertainment, supporting brands such as Disney, Intel, Dentsu, OMD Worldwide and Horizon Media.
He also serves on agency councils including Magnite and LG Ad Solutions.
