Lipotec’s Uplevity Peptide Tones and Tightens Skin

To work against sagging and aging, Lipotec performed a new in vivo test on Uplevity peptide. In counteracting the force of gravity, the tetrapeptide increases collagen and functional elastin synthesis.

Additionally, Uplevity peptide contributes to skin firmness by overexpressing genes involved in cellular cohesion due to focal adhesions, which are the interface between the actin cytoskeleton and extracellular matrix.

For 56 days, a group of 40-60-year-old women with saggy skin and loss of elasticity on the face volunteered to apply cream with 2% Uplevity peptide solution twice a day.

The outcome improved quality of mature skin. Skin firmness improved with a 25.2% decrease in maximal deformation, the general elasticity of the skin was enhanced by 16% and results left a visible lifting effect of the face contour with a decrease of 0.13 cm.

The participants noticed other benefits as well. After using the solution, 95% of volunteers noticed a more toned skin and 90% believed the solution left a firming effect.
