HeiQ, a Swiss company specializing in textile innovation and biotechnology, recently introduced its patent-pending synbiotic HeiQ Skin Care technology into French women's wear brand Coperni's C+ clothing line.
As previously reported, the fabric treatment combines prebiotics and probiotics in a bio-based matrix, designed to restore and regenerate the skin's microbiome and promote a radiant, healthy appearance.
Wearable Microbiome Care
The C+ Regenerating Top is said to act as wearable skin care, as the blend of multiple strains of Bacillus and selected prebiotics detach from the textile and migrate onto the skin, reportedly in relevant amounts to create a well-balanced microbiome.
As Collater.al describes it, the fabric, developed in collaboration with HeiQ, integrates live microorganisms and prebiotic nutrients that keep them active. The resulting mix creates a "silent dialogue" between body and garment, where heat, movement and friction activate the release of beneficial microorganisms. This ensures continuous hydration, elasticity and protection for the skin.
Form-fitting for Skin Benefits
The apparel collection, which also includes a bodysuit and leggings, is designed for everyday wear. Lightweight and form-fitting, the garments reportedly ensure constant contact with the skin, delivering active benefits for up to 40 washes.
Additional benefits include:
Non-irritating to skin,
No impact on fabric properties (breathability, color, feel, wicking, etc.),
Durable, proven successful in intensive wear trials and
Applicable to any fiber (natural, synthetic and blends).
The collaboration marks a significant step in merging fashion with functional skin care, offering consumers a seamless blend of style, comfort and wellness.
