Nuekie has announced its inaugural Nuekie Beauty Durbar, a celebration of beauty, wellness and cultural heritage tailored specifically to women of color, to be held June 15-16, 2024 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia.
Derived from the rich cultural traditions of Africa and South Asia, the term "Durbar" evokes images of royal courts and formal gatherings, infusing the event with a profound sense of cultural significance and heritage.
Attendees can anticipate an engaging lineup of speakers, including renowned experts in beauty and wellness who will share their insights and expertise on skin care, hair care, makeup, fitness and wellness relevant to women of color.
With an array of curated vendors offering products and services inspired by diverse cultural influences, the Nuekie Beauty Durbar will provide attendees with the opportunity to discover and experience cutting-edge offerings authentic to them.
Attendees will also get a sneak peek into Nuekie’s new product lines that will address acne-prone skin and hyperpigmentation.
Eunice Cofie-Obeng, chief cosmetic chemist and founder of Nuekie, said, “Women of color have typically been left out of the beauty and wellness conversation despite the fact that we have historically been trailblazers in the industry. Through the Nuekie Beauty Durbar we want to center their needs with culturally relevant solutions.”
