Mane Kancor has recently claimed the 23rd European BSB Innovation Award 2025 with its product, Purakan, in the category of Natural Products with Functional Benefits. This accolade highlights Purakan's new approach to dandruff treatment utilizing patented natural solutions derived from botanical extracts. The company claims the formula provides enhanced care for the scalp while incorporating upcycled ingredients and sourcing materials through Mane Kancor's programs that support local farmers.

The BSB Innovation Awards, which began in 2003, are highly regarded in the personal care industry, celebrating breakthroughs in sustainability, efficacy and innovation. By winning this award, Mane Kancor reaffirms its dedication to advancing clean-label, high-performance products within the personal care sector, which includes hair care, skin care, and sun care solutions.

Botanical Extracts Behind the Scenes
Per the company, the ingredient's efficacy lies in its botanical extracts:
- Mint essential oil, with anti-dandruff properties, to actively combat dandruff while purifying and refreshing the scalp;
- Ajowan essential oil, which works to eliminate the causes of dandruff and balance the scalp; and
- Upcycled pomegranate peel powder, which helps eradicate Malassezia furfur while actively rebalancing the scalp's microflora. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory properties work to soothe and restore the scalp's natural equilibrium.
