Croda Beauty has announced new test results for its DS-CERAmix-V active.
DS-CERAmix-VTM is a bio-designed, skin-inspired liquid crystal lamellar system delivering essential stratum corneum lipids, including an optimized 2:1:1 ratio of ceramide NP, ceramide AP and phytosphingosine to closely mimic the skin’s natural composition. This structure reinforces the barrier “scaffold” and moisture-retaining lamellae.
In a 28-day study, the company claims that DS-CERAmix-VTM:
- Reduced skin roughness by up to 24% versus baseline, visibly improving skin texture compared with placebo
- Showed a 38.8% gain in elasticity after 5 days
- Increased hydration by 57.3% on sensitive skin versus T0
- Reduced itching score by 81% versus baseline, bringing rapid comfort to irritated skin
Neurobeauty testing using EEG claim that, despite a similar texture to a placebo cream, DS-CERAmix-VTM uniquely shifts emotional responses toward greater relaxation, comfort and pampering during application.
