Will Space NK be Unilever's Next Acquisition?

Space NK, the U.K.-based luxury beauty retailer, is reportedly being eyed by Unilever.

Unilever recently acquired 75% of the Italian personal care brand Equilibra. 

According to an article on uk.news.yahoo.com, Manzanita Capital is said to be "in advanced talks to sell the cosmetics retailer" and is being advised by Goldman Sachs. 

The article explained that Space NK made pre-tax profits of £3.2 million on sales of £96.4 million for the year to March 25. The retailer currently has more than 60 shops in Britain and 29 in the U.S.

Unilever, the article stated, is "thought to be looking to move into the more-upmarket beauty arena."
