Sun Chemical is launching 13 new color effects from its performance pigments’ portfolio of innovative products to enhance creativity and provide innovative solutions for cosmetic formulators.
“Cosmetic consumers want more choices in their make-up,” said Kelly Dobos, cosmetics technical manager at Sun Chemical Performance Pigments. “They especially want more color choices and dazzling effects.”
According to Dobos, the new colors are eye popping and meet the highest purity standards and specifications of all global regulations in the market, as required by cosmetic formulators.
SunSHINE Line of Pearlescent Pigments
Ten new colors were launched to the SunSHINE line of pure synthetic mica-based pearlescent pigments ranging from silver and gold metallic effects to bright, sparkling accents in green and blue.
The SunSHINE pigments provide some of the lowest residual heavy metals levels available in the market and are designed to meet future trends. Their transparency, luster, chroma, broad range of particle sizes and smoothness make them suitable to use in all finished product formulations.
INTENZA Portfolio
Three bold color effects were introduced to the Intenza product portfolio, which includes a product range offering rich pearlescent tones complementing all skin tones and seasonal styles.
The three new shades consist of:
- Poppy red,
- Hyacinth blue and
- Sunflower.
To continue advancing, this portfolio is combining certified organic colorants with an alumina substrate. The pigments are free of additives and preservatives with heavy metal specifications, which surpass global regulatory requirements.
