Sol de Janeiro's new Delicia Drench Body Butter (240 ml/$48, 75 ml/$22) has launched at the brand's e-commerce site and Sephora.com.

The launch comes amid a boom in body skin care. According to Circana data, body skin care continued to outpace the overall category in the first nine months of 2023.

It also comes as The Moodie Davitt Report notes that, "Sol de Janeiro is now the second-biggest brand within L’Occitane Group contributing over a quarter of sales."

The new body butter's whipped formulation is designed to replenish the skin barrier, lock in moisture, soothe the skin, and nourish the microbiome.

Key ingredients include moisturizing and barrier-supporting bacuri butter, a soothing complex of copaiba resin and passionflower seed oil, prebiotic hibiscus, and moisturizing hyaluronic acid.

Notably, the SKU features a new brand scent, Cheirosa 59, comprising notes of plum, violet, vanilla, amber, sandalwood and vetiver.

The fragrance will be launched in January as a standalone perfume mist at Sephora.com and the brand's e-commerce site.
