Gussi has launched the at-home Keratin Treatment Kit, a keratin-focused treatment that is said to minimize blow dry time compared to a salon-equivalent. The kit comes with a priming shampoo and the keratin treatment.

Gussi’s at-home Keratin Treatment takes about an hour and is said to provide six weeks of smooth, frizz-free hair. The salon-inspired DIY treatment does not contain any formaldehyde and is said to cut down blow dry time by 30%. It is formulated with keratin, hydrogenated castor oil, moringa seed oil and vitamins B3, B5, B6, C and E.
According to the brand, the treatment penetrates the hair from the inside out to avoid breaking the bonds of the hair, meaning hair can be washed, styled, colored or braided immediately after use. It can be used on any hair type, including color-treated hair.
To start the treatment, use the provided Squeaky Clean Priming Shampoo to clarify and prep hair for treatment. Apply Smooth Operator Keratin Treatment and let it process for 15-20 minutes before rinsing off. Blow dry and flat iron to lock in heat and smooth hair.
