Five products from Garnier’s SkinActive line have earned Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver recognition.
The range is the first mass skin care brand, and the third L’Oréal brand, to earn this designation. It earned the certification after an evaluation of material health, material reutilization, renewable energy and carbon management, water stewardship and social fairness practices.
In early 2018, L’Oréal USA debuted a financially sustainable and replicable renewable gas model, with the aim of helping the company achieve carbon neutrality for all of its US facilities by 2019. In 2017, it implemented SPOT, an internal tool which assesses the environmental and social impacts of products across the company’s 53 brands; to date, it has made 120 products more sustainable.
