Burberry’s new artistic directory has unveiled the brand’s new logo, reports Harper’s Bazaar.
The new logo and monogram come before Riccardo Tisci’s first runway show for Burberry, at London Fashion Week in September 2018.
The monogram features an interlocking TB pattern (after founder Thomas Burberry) in a red, honey-beige and white color scheme, while the logo utilizes a bold, all-caps sans-serif. The designs were inspired by a 1908 monogram Tisci discovered while visiting the Burberry archives.
Slated to roll out in Burberry stores in the coming month, the logo redesign marks the company’s first in nearly 20 years; in 1999, it dropped the “s” from “Burberry’s.” There is no word as to the fate of the classic check pattern.
