Launched in July, 2019, Beautycounter’s six-product Countertime Collection has received the Environmental Working Group’s EWG Verified program certification. A founding member of the program, Beautycounter is working to add more EWG Verified products to its collection.
A trusted third-party certification, EWG Verified works to drive full transparency on labels and good manufacturing practices to ensure product safety. Products that have obtained the certification cannot contain any ingredients from the Environmental Working Group’s “Unacceptable” list.
Meant to be used as a four-step regimen, the Countertime Collection is formulated with a plant-derived Retinatural Complex, a safe alternative to retinol, and designed to firm, brighten and plump skin. The collection is packaged in glass and reduces the collection’s greenhouse gas footprint by ~38%.
Countertime Collection:
- Lipid Defense Cleansing Oil ($49)
- Mineral Boost Hydrating Essence ($59)
- Tripeptide Radiance Serum ($79)

“Long gone are the days where consumers have to choose between products that use safer ingredients or products that work,” said Gregg Renfrew, Founder & CEO of Beautycounter. “Our Countertime line is the perfect example of how we deliver the best age-defying line possible, while still using ingredients verified by EWG's third party certification. For us, this is just the beginning.”
