According to the Purpose Power Index, a study done by Reputation Institute and StrawberryFrog, consumers feel Mary Kay is among the most powerful purpose-driven brands in the country. The study collected more than 5,700 respondents and more than 17,500 ratings from them to compare companies' values.
The Purpose Power Index scales companies on numerous factors including having a higher purpose other than just making money, improving the lives of people and their communities, commitment to changing the world, and doing the right thing for society.
“From the very beginning, Mary Kay was a brand built on purpose,” said Julia Simon, chief legal officer and chief diversity officer of Mary Kay Inc. “It’s why we’ve never wavered from our efforts ranging from women’s empowerment and sustainability to cancer research and the fight to end gender-based violence against women and girls."
