MacArthur Beauty has acquired Uoma Beauty, according to The Business of Beauty.

Uoma Beauty is reportedly the firm's first beauty acquisition

BrainTrust will remain on the brand's board as an investor, while others will not.

The Business of Beauty reports MacArthur Beauty will focus on the following objectives to "save" and turn Uoma Beauty "completely around":

Stabilize inventory and in turn re-fill orders for large customers.
Regain customer trust.
Regain retailer trust.
A new chief executive and chief operating officer will be appointed.

The business is anticipated to expand into other categories, including hair care.
