U.S.-based NotCo has unveiled its Generative AI Fragrance Formulator, an expansion of its generative product development platform, Giuseppe, in partnership with Latin American flavor and fragrance house Cramer. The platform reportedly  taps Cramer's fragrance and flavor formulation database, as well as data points related to individual ingredients, to enable the development of premium, market-ready fragrances in seconds.

According to the platform, there is an increased sensitivity to social and environmental issues among consumers over the past three years has led to significant changes in personal care routines and purchasing habits.

4. dsm-firmenich AG Sells All Stake in Robertet S.A.

On November 21, 2024, Swiss flavor and fragrance company dsm-firmenich AG announced that it successfully sold all of its ordinary shares in supplier Robertet S.A. dsm-firmenich now no longer retains any shares in Robertet.

dms-ferminich announced the sale of the majority of its shares in Robertet on November 15, 2024 at a price of €850 per share. As part of this transaction, Fonds Stratégique de Participations (FSP) and Peugeot Invest each acquired a 7.1% stake in Robertet with individual investments of €125 million. Leadership at Robertet said in a statement that these transactions are an effort to shift the company’s shareholder structure. 

5. Vyrao Introduces Genderless Fragrance Mamajuju with Neuroscience-backed Emotional Benefits

Vyrao is introducing Mamajuju, a genderless fragrance for grounding and awareness said to boast neuroscience-backed emotional benefits. According to a release, Mamajuju is known to enhance relaxation, self-esteem and memory, said to be proven by IFF's proprietary Science of Wellness program to determine which ingredients have the greatest impact on the brain's perceptions of scent.
