The Face & Body Healing Butter is formulated with eight ingredients, including three West African medicinal oils: baobab, bissap, and touloucouna. The creamy formula is designed to provide hydration, soothe irritation and eliminate free-radical stressors. It costs $34.
The Hydrating Full Coverage Body Lotion is Unsun’s first full-body mineral sunscreen lotion. It contains SPF-30 and is water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. It intends to leave skin glowing, hydrated, moisturized and provide sun protection. The sunscreen is unscented, untinted, residue-free and formulated with baobab oil and extracts of prickly pear cactus, bitter orange and cucumber. It costs $32.
The Face & Body Healing Butter and Hydrating Full Coverage Body Lotion are both available at unsuncosmetics.com.
Katonya Breaux, owner and founder of Unsun Cosmetics, said, “I created Unsun Cosmetics to provide an inclusive, diverse, clean beauty product line that offers clean, mineral-based sun protection without dealing with the white residue that’s often left behind. I’m aware of other brands out there that promise the same, but because many were made without people of color in mind, they have missed the mark. I want to give people of all skin tones the option as well as access to mineral-based products that are easy to use. I am so excited to launch my two newest products for revitalized skin from head to toe. Up until now, Unsun was focused on products intended for the face, but as we grow, we are constantly looking for ways to enter the market with more products that exceed industry standards.”
