L'Oreal is partnering with recycling firm TerraCycle to offer makeup recycling bins across 1,000 stores in the United Kingdom, according to BBC News.

The bins will reportedly be in branches of Tesco, Boots, Sainsbury's and Superdrug. Once recycled, the material will be used for plastic pellets.
Items that can be recycled include:
- Compacts
- Eyeshadow palettes
- Foundation or concealer tubes
- Mascara
- Eyeliner and lip products
Items that can not be recycled include:
- Makeup brushes
- Nail polish
- Aerosols
L'Oreal has pledged that 100% of its plastic packaging will be refillable, reusable and recyclable or compostable by 2025.
