Shiseido is opening a research hub, the Shiseido Global Innovation Center (GIC), in Yokohama, Japan’s Minato Mirai 21 area.
Also referred to as S/PARK, the space is an urban open lab, designed to support and promote communication and collaboration between consumers, researchers, business partners and experts, both inside and outside Japan.
The GIC’s first and second floors will serve as public communication spaces, a place for visitors and researchers to interact featuring content based on the concept of “get inspired by beauty.” The fourth floor includes a lab for joint research and outside institutes, as well as space for business negotiations, while the fifth through fifteenth floors are outfitted with facilities and equipment to support research.
